Words for Wednesday

So a few random things to share today…

1.) I am in much better shape knee wise!

Thank you guys so much for the comments on that post about taking a spill – I swear I am a graceful person. Not really. I did notice yesterday that my knees are starting to bruise, which is super attractive.

It does make me feel like a little less of a wuss for freaking out, though. And I promise to spare you from any ugly knee photos going forward.

2.) Weight Watchers leading is going great!

I feel like I’m getting more confident and comfortable each week, and am definitely getting into my groove with it. Yesterday’s meeting topic was about everyone’s favorite thing – Tracking. But, we ended up having a high energy discussion and a lot of great ideas came out of it! I am excited to be seeing my speaking skills and confidence growing with every meeting!

3.) I had a kickass run last night!

I ended up going out for dinner on Monday night and hadn’t yet been grocery shopping, so I really needed to get to the store AND get a run in last night. I stopped by the grocery store on the way home from work, got home, put the bags full of food directly into the fridge, and then set out!

I knocked out a super hilly 4.5 miles, which was awesome because one of my goals for this half marathon is to do more hill training. Even with a 10:40 pace on mile 3 of this run, which involved a really steep half mile climb, I managed to bust out all 4.5 miles in 44 minutes exactly, which is a 9:46 average pace!

    Ooh, those pics make my knees hurt! I hope you’re on the mend soon. Glad to hear leading is going so well. Remember your first meeting? I bet you’ve come a long way!

    Hmm, something random and good…we’re getting crown molding this weekend and I’m excited. Does that make me weird? Don’t answer that. 🙂

    With 4th of July on a Wednesday, I won’t be leaving town this year – so my friend and I are registering for a half-marathon – this will be my first!

    Ouch ouch ouch! Glad you are on the mend. I am a huge klutz. I run into walls in my house all the time, like hello, that wall has always been there Jen! Sheesh

    Random – I’ve had my couch too long. I need to start thinking about a new one. But I LOVE my couch. First world problem, for sure.

    Gah, elbow and knee scrapes take so long to heal because of being on a major joint :/ Something random: I’m hoping that the weatherman was correct with his weather forecast for today and we get some snow! I’d love an early closing or no work tomorrow [te-hehe]!

    Something good… I have my first real ‘Big Girl Job’ interview on Monday! They are flying me from Wa state to Wisconsin!! I’m beyond excited and kind of scared out of my mind as well!

    Glad to read all these good things! Ouchies for your knees, but at least they are on the mend. Here’s to a short recovery time! 🙂

    Random and good: I forgot to grab my dental records before moving but they are going to email/mail them to me! Yay (random enough?)!

    Hi Beth, yay for being on the mend. Those scrapes and cuts can be nasty. and yay for the ww leading going well!!!! Hmm..random and good??? I thought my camera was lost, but it wasn’t…my husband had just moved it when he was cleaning. YAY! Have a great day!!!

    Sounds like a good Wednesday all around! My random but goodness: I’ve bought coconut flour and am having lots of fun adding it all sorts of dessert deliciousness.

    Thanks for the inspiration, Iv recently started the C25K challenge, feeling great, and iv lost 3.3 kgs this week as a bonus. All thanks to your motivation. Keep on doing ur thang and inspiring all us around you. God bless. x

    I started a couch to 5K program this week. I finished day two last night. I am loving it!

    I’m glad your knees are doing a little better. I haven’t fallen running (knock on wood) but I did come really close during Clarendon Day last year when I stepped in a giant pothole on the big downhill. It was scary.
