Wednesday Weight Check #8

Another Wednesday, another weigh in video. Good results this time!

This was taken fresh out of the shower last night, so forgive my lack of makeup. Smile

In the video, I mention that I also took measurements last night for the first time in 5 months, and I was down an inch almost everywhere on my body, including each arm plus my waist, bust, and chest, and 1.5 inches on each thigh! Exciting to see 8” gone over the course of 5 months, though of course I still have a ways to go.

This week, I really want to focus on getting more healthy fat into my diet. I am honestly not eating that much dietary fat day to day, so my goal is to have one serving of oil, avocado, and/or nuts (am I missing anything??) every day this week and prioritize getting it in.

I also have a 10k coming up this weekend so I want to perform well on that and I am just going to trust my training rather than set specific time goals, because that tends to work best for me!

Also, I was going to make another goal to change up my activity a little bit, specifically with cross training, and last I tried zumba for the first time ever! I absolutely LOVED it and got such a great workout. I was drenched!


Plus, I loooooved that the women in the class who were the best, plus the instructor, were all curvy ladies! I fit right in.

    Zumba is scary. Much scarier than a marathon. I’m serious.

    Maybe eat some salmon, too? Healthy fat with protein to boot?

    I LOVE ZUMBA. I love Zumba. I love it because it’s fun, it goes fast, it’s so hard, and there is such a wide variety of age, weight, fitness level, etc in the room.

    I also love BodyFlow for mind/body relaxation, stretching and balance strength training.

    You seem real happy with your results! Congrats! That is a really good weekly avg for loss. I recommitted about 3-4 weeks ago, and have been averaging probably .5 a week but I have been going over my points by about 15 every week. I need to focus on getting more activity points to offset those. Good luck on your run and enjoy the long weekend!

    I always loveee going to group fitness classes, the hardest part for me is actually getting myself to go! Usually I workout whenever I have time and don’t plan my schedule around my workouts so but I need to get better about making them a priority!

    Why are you apologizing for not wearing make-up? I would love to look half that great without makeup!

    Good for you for trying Zumba! I have to say that I’m not a “regular” Zumba fan, but I’m addicted to Aqua Zumba.

    Great job! The change in measurements is awesome! I love adding coconut to my smoothies and greek yogurt to give them a tropical feel and add some healthy fats. Chia seeds and flax meal are also great additions to smoothies, oatmeal, baked goods, etc. to increase good fats and staying power:)

    Congratulations on your great weigh in! Have you read any of the Metabolic Effect materials? Drs. Jade and Keoni talk a lot about people who work out hard but are having trouble losing. Check out their website or the book– I really love their philosophy and insight.

    I’m terrible with fat, too – because I cannot control myself around nuts and don’t cook with oil. I’ll be happy to see your ideas!

    Also (and then I’ll stop babbling), your top is really cute! I have such trouble finding tanks that don’t ride up or look ridiculous on a busty girl.

    I second the nomination for coconut… or coconut oil. And grass-fed butter. Trader Joe’s has both. 🙂

      Good to know and thanks for the recommendation! I was just there today and picked up some grapeseed oil too!
