Wednesday Weight Check #5

Another Wednesday Weight Check video with results from yesterday’s weigh in!

9-11 Weigh In Results

Watch the clip to hear the results and also hear what I’m doing better this time around with losing weight.

Goals for this week:

    • Focus on staying on plan this week so I have extra Points to work with since I’m going out of town Saturday night.
    • Keep up with half marathon training, with a long run of 6 miles this weekend.
    • Focus on eating less processed foods and getting in all my Good Health Guidelines.
    • Be mindful of what I’m putting into my body.
    • Get a lot of sleep – I do so much better when I do!

What is your #1 focus for this week?

Hi Beth! I started reading your blog last year and I’m loving these Wednesday updates – they bring a real voice into the mix and I find it really helpful. Sometimes, health and weight loss blogs seem so perfect or smug – thanks for being so real! 🙂

Hey Rachel! Thanks so much for the feedback – I appreciate it! 🙂 And I have been loving doing these Wednesday Weigh In Vlogs even more than I thought I would. It’s fun to just say what’s on my mind without writing it out sometimes. Hope you’re having a good week!

Congratulations, Beth! I may try to come to your meeting next week! 😀 Which soccer league did you join – I would be worried that everyone are like semi-pro players and I haven’t kicked a ball since high school! Would love to catch up! 😀

Hey Lauren! I’d love to see you next week at the meeting. The topic is “Weekend Warriors” so I’m hoping to learn a thing or five from people in the meeting about how to tackle weekends better.

The league is District Sports, and it is AWESOME. I hadn’t touched a soccer ball since pre-high school before Monday, but it is so, so fun. It’s a total rec league and low pressure, high support, and honestly I think I’m going to do it for a long time because it’s so fun and such a great workout but it doesn’t seem like one since you’re playing a game!

Fantastic loss! I agree, sometimes it does get hard to have a social life and loose weight. It’s exciting to see you figuring it out. So great that you have supportive friends who will be active with you!

I’ve been talking with a friend about joining a community league for maybe softball, but I am so nervous since I’ve never played sports. I’m sure everyone would be kind, but I just would feel like the slow person who was clueless!

I was really nervous before my first game on Monday, too, but it was soooo awesome! Especially if you go in with a friend (I didn’t know a soul in the league!) you will be FINE and have so much fun! Let me know if you end up joining! 🙂

This week I am SERIOUSLY going to try and work on my weekend eating habits. I’ve been good with exercise and with eating well during the week, but the weekends have been horrible. I don’t know why, but my sugar cravings really kick in on Friday nights–probably just because eating sweets is a signal to me that it’s the weekend and time to relax. I need to find ways to relax without the calories!

Beth. You are doing great with reversing your gain. I like how you looked at the cause ( root) of the problem and are putting in measures not to repeat the same behavior.

That’s key to weight maitnence IMO. Good for you. Safe travels and I like your plan to steer clear of the processed food. I’ve found it easier to maintain when I’m not exposed to the processed foods. A lot work, so worth it.

Hi Beth! I found your blog about two years ago and have recently gotten back into reading it. I wasn’t as interested the first time around because I don’t like the weight watchers method of weightloss even though it is a blessing for many people. I’ve lost 55 pounds with grain-free, dairy free intuitive eating and exercise. I really love your new vlogs; they really put a personal touch on things and though I am sorry your weightloss is harder this time around, reading about your struggles helps me get through my own. Good job on last week’s weight loss!

My #1 focus for this week has been getting enough sleep! I am a night owl, which doesn’t go over well with my high pressure office job that starts bright and early every morning!

I like to read blogs during my lunch break at work, but our network blocks all videos. Can you put the info in the text?
