Lots of Firsts

I know the first day of fall isn’t officially until Saturday, but this week has brought a lot of firsts that sure make it feel like fall is already here!

This morning was the first time I saw a temperature starting with a “5” when I went out for my run… plus when I got back home after!

Today marks the first time I’m using my new crockpot:

To make maple syrup and dijon and mustard slow cooked pulled pork!!

I can’t wait until I’m home to eat it for dinner tonight!

Last night was the first night I didn’t turn on my air conditioner since pre-summer. I also didn’t turn it on this morning, while getting ready!

This morning is the first time I’ve had canned pumpkin this season:

It’s also the first time I’m having oatmeal in I can’t even tell you how long!

And, perhaps most excitingly, today is the first day I’ve been able to comfortably wear my size 10 black dress pants (again) for work without them looking inappropriate!

Have you had any good firsts this week?

I did my first crock pot meal as well this week, three bean chili! It’s so delicious and made with lean turkey, and all the beans is a great filling and healthy meal. Next crock pot creation, apple sauce! Love your cute outfit.

I know exactly how you feel on the pants! The day I fit into jeans that I fit into at my lowest weight (nearly 3 years ago, if I’m honest with myself) without a massive muffin top was the day I screamed and did a little dance. Progress, people, progress!

Also my size 8 pants do not have any muffin top now too! I’m almost a size 6!

Yay crockpot! It is the best invention ever!

I recommitted to my WLJ last week, so I had my first week back on track and lost 3lbs!

Today is my first day of no binging or overeating. I spent most of today hungry and I had headache off and on. I really want this to work and in many ways I’m ready to do it, but it’s hard.

    Beth, you look so good!

We have been able to turn off our AC as well (which is great because we were paying hundreds of dollars a month during the Summer)! I think we are going to do more soups and stews now that the heat is going away.
