Wednesday Weight Check

Happy Wednesday! I mentioned this already on my facebook page, but I’ve decided to start doing a weekly weigh in video on Wednesdays, following my Tuesday weigh in. I think it will be a good opportunity to reflect on the past week, hold myself accountable, AND selfishly, see how my face changes as I work on getting back to goal.

I mention this in the video, but I am on my last straw with Weight Watchers as far as leading meetings and not being back at goal. I have to lose at least 2 lbs a month from now until I’m back to my goal weight or else I will be placed on a 90 day leave of absence, which I really don’t want.

So here we go:

I promise to ramble less in the ones going forward. But yay for a scale victory!

What’s one good thing you’ve done for your health this week?

Yay for you!! It’s good to put a voice with the words! I know you’ll get back down to your goal weight, you have such a great attitude. You’re human, things happen, and you are an inspiration to so many people. Keep up the good work!

Hi Beth, good for you! It’s hard to get back on track once you are slipping and often negative motivation works best for me…

On another note, have you considered that you are now replacing lbs of fat with lbs of muscle, which could lead to the scale not moving? I know I faced this over the past 3 months.. I only lost about 4 lbs total, but my body fat % and my waist and hips have shrunk significantly. You may want to try measuring yourself and see how this correlates, since you are doing a lot more weight training!

A weekly weigh-in vlog is a great idea! Hopefully, this will just provide one more method of holding yourself accountable – and it looks like you are definitely on track for success! You got this!

I recently found your blog and I love it! I’ve lost 65 pounds on WW over the past teo years and just made my healthy BMI number on the scale. Your recipes have been so helpful and especially yur post about obsession vs. dedication. That’s kind of where I am. I think about this all the time but it wouldnt be good if I didn’t either. There must be a healthy balance. Anyway, really enjoyed your video.

Beth you are still an inspiration to me. I know you can do this. I went back on Weight Watchers back in mid-July and I am still successful. I truly believe some of the best leaders are the ones who can really show that they struggle and also show us that they can fight to succeed. I look forward to hearing more about you successes.

Hi Beth!!! I loved your Vlog and I’m looking forward to more. Bravo to you for taking action and going back into weightloss mode.

Have you read the book Refuse to Regain by Barbara Berkeley, MD, 12 tough rules to keep the body that you’ve earned? I really recommend that book for reading right now . Once you are back at goal see which rules you may choose to add to your weight maitnence “tool box”.

I had a couple of weight losses ( and gains) at WW. I work the rules of the book and third times a charm.

    Good luck and keep going

Hey – congrats on your loss – I am a leader also and also in that weight probation situation. It is challenging and stressful but it did help me lose 15 lbs. Way to go on a great week – onward and downward for you!

I think that doing these videos is a great idea. In fact, I started doing videos a few months ago (in addition to my blog posts) and it really helps me to be accountable.

Maybe you can make short videos in between your weigh ins. You can do your meals, workouts and other things.

Btw…you have such a beautiful smile!
