First, two quick announcements before we get down to business:
1.) I am officially going to training to be a Weight Watchers Leader!!!!!! I am so excited and found out it was probably going to happen over the last few weeks, but now I am signed up for the Basic Leader Training in October so it’s official! I will keep you guys posted throughout the process, but just wanted to share since I’m really excited about it.
2.) The Hunger Games is SOOOOOOO good. I’m talking pray for a red light while driving so you can read a few more lines good. I haven’t read a book I couldn’t put down in a while, and this is it.
Now that that’s out of the way, I’m happy to report I made a lot of progress on yesterday’s mini goals! To start, I made it through the work day and to the Weight Watchers meeting and stayed awake and productive most of the time.
I ended up getting home just before 8, and didn’t even go up to my apartment before getting in the car and heading directly to the grocery store. I managed to do really well at Harris Teeter, only spending $21.53! Here’s what I got:
- Chobani 0% Plain Greek Yogurt
- Smoked Salmon
- Garlic Powder
- Sweet Potato
- Peaches x4
- Strawberries (on sale for $2)
Not too bad right? Here’s the menu for the week:
- Tuesday Night: BBQ Tofu w/steamed broccoli
- Wednesday Night: Black Beans That Will Change Your Life (they’re soaking now!) with Cilantro Rice
- Thursday Night: Out to dinner with Erika (have a groupon to use!)
- Friday: Black Bean Burrito
Mmm just looking at that list makes me excited for dinners this week. And dinner with my friend Erika! I can’t even remember the last time I was out to dinner. I can’t wait!
Besides the grocery trip, I also managed to drink a lot of water yesterday to clean out my system. I also woke up this morning and ran 5 miles in 49 mins exactly (9:48 pace), so checked EVERYTHING off on my list!
I feel so much better already.
