Five Fact Friday

1.) The weather has been gorgeous this whole week and I’ve eaten lunch outside every single day. Cross your fingers (and toes) that it holds up for tomorrow!

beautful

2.) It’s day six in a row of clean eating, zero alcohol and extra sleep, and I am feeling great and very well rested! I should probably do this more often…

3.) This week, I booked a vacation to St. Maarten with my sister, her husband, and my nephew, and the best part is that I leave 3 weeks from Sunday!!! It’s just a quick trip (4 nights) but it will be SO nice to get away and get some sun, some Harper, and the Caribbean Sea!

harper

4.) I feel SKINNY for the first time in a long, long time. I’ve been really diligent about eating well (and working out) and I can notice a big difference in the mirror and in my clothes. It feels soooo good!

5.) The half marathon is… TOMORROW! It’s really happening and now I am feeling both excited and nervous!!

Thanks for #4…I have been stalled like you had for a bit, in a WW rut, and need to have that good feeling back, where my whole body just feels good! That statement, “I feel skinny again” hit a cord with me because the best feeling I remember is when I looked in the mirror and LIKED what I saw (not just what I saw but how I felt, physically and mentally)! Thanks, Beth!! Good luck tomorrow!

I heard people talking about the Rock n Roll maraton on the radio this morning. Good luck tomorrow!

Fun fact – just got back into riding a bike. Aside from the obvious benefit of exercise, I’ve notice that my right knee (that I had surgery on two years ago) doesn’t hurt nearly as much!

Good luck this weekend! You’ll do great!

I’m so jealous of your SXM getaway. I love that place (well, any place in the Caribbean)!!

Fun Fact – I have had 29 different addresses since I graduated from college. I have a bit of wanderlust.

Congrats on your 6 day streak! I can totally relate as I am also on Day 6! My clothes fit better and I am not as bloated or puffy. It’s awesome. 🙂 I have a question for you…I am struggling with St Patty’s Day. I can’t decide if I should relax a little and have a few beers with some yummy Irish food, or hold strong. Part of me wants to continue on this winning streak, and the other part wants to be able to live life! I guess what I am nervous about is Sunday. Will I go back to clean eating? For me it’s always hard after taking a night off. Usually I am all or nothing, but I am trying to find a more healthy balance. Your thoughts??

Hi Christy! I think the part of WW that makes it such a good plan is that it’s liveable! If you can’t have a little fun and a couple drinks sometimes, is it worth it? In my opinion, no! I’d say do what you need to do to set yourself to get back on track on Sunday. Go grocery shopping in the AM or have a meal plan in place, healthy breakfast ready to go, etc. Whatever you need to do to make sure you can get back on the wagon after some St. Patty’s day fun!

Good luck on your half marathon tomorrow! I know you’ll have a great time, can’t wait to hear all about it!

My fun fact: I just signed up for our local 5K in June. 🙂 I did it last year, and am doing it again this year, hooray!! I’m on my road to losing 51 pounds (down 12, yay!) and I’m excited for something to train for and look forward to!

Super jealous that you’re going to St. Maarten! I’ve been looking into possible places for our honeymoon but can’t make up my mind- an island or Europe…

P.S. The weather this week has been absolutely beautiful!!! Loving the sunshine and warmth! Just wonder if it’s 85 degrees in March, how hot will it be in July?!

We did the Amalfi Coast, Italy for our Honeymoon! It was the perfect combination of Europe and relaxation. Neither of us had been before, either. Look into it to see if it’s for you! 😉

You are going to rock that race tomorrow – I’m so excited for you!!

Funny that you mention point four: I had food poisoning last week, and since then, I’ve been VERY in tune with what I put in my body – to find I too feel a bit leaner, just in a week. It’s amazing how your body repays you when you treat it right!

Good luck on your half-marathon tomorrow. I’m a new reader and you are very inspirational.

Fun fact: I am new to running and will be doing my first 5k at the end of April. I have been finding my motivation across the blogosphere. Thanks for the inspriation.

    Cheers~

Im working on getting my fitness and healthy eating back on track.. Six days straight is impressive! I made an all veggie enchilada casserole in the slow cooker last week that I think you might like. I can email you the recipe if you’re interested. The secret ingredient was butternut squash.. Yum! I also splurged on some awsome DVDs last week: three different bosu videos, one centered entirely around resistance bands and the Brazilian butt lift set. Have you seen the ridiculous infomercials? Now I might finally make some use of all this fitness clutter I have laying around the house.

Fun fact for when you are drinking again: I saw you talked about the Smirnoff whipped vodka the other day and Pinnacle makes a Chocolate Whipped vodka that is amazing just on ice. I am also on WW and I love that I can get in my chocolate fix and a little alcohol for just the points price of the liquor.
