I'm sorry about your knee. I can definitely relate. Back in September I flew over my bike handles and landed on my knee pretty hard. I still have a hard time doing some yoga poses on it now. I hope everything works out for the half, but remember that it could take a while to heal completely to be able to do things where you need to be on your knees (like yoga). Good luck!

I've definitely taken a few spills in my day. During running, I've also ran into 2 doors. It's awkward. :p

Those sidewalks are treacherous. Glad to hear you are OK, and I really don't think missing the last ~3 miles of an 8 miler will affect your training much.

Ha. Have I ever taken a spill while running? 14 years ago, I wiped out on a patch of ice and fell flat on my back. Turns out that I fractured a vertebrae, but didn't find out until 6 months later, when I got a doctor-ordered x-ray to evaluate the source of my back pain, which I assumed was muscular.

Oops.

Considering I am extremely clumsy (my husband And I both!), Yes, lots of times, the best thing to do is just get up and keep going. If you stop, Murphy and his ridiculous law would have won :)
Hope your scratched up knee feels much better. x

Curious if you remember the names of where you had those margs? :)

I'm heading to San Antonio (also for the first time) for work this week and would love to try at least one!
