Chobani: A Giveaway
I love me some greek yogurt. I eat it almost every single day for a snack, usually plain with fruit or other mixins added it. When I go for the flavored kind, my favorite is Chobani, hands down. I like that they have real fruit or honey at the bottom, rather than some of the other kinds where you pour the jelly like substance over the plain yogurt. So when the folks over at Chobani offered to send me a custom case, I couldn’t turn it down!
The Plain nonfat container has 2 pts+, and most of the flavored nonfat ones have 3pts. The 2% has 3 pts+ for the plain, and most of hte flavored 2% has 4pts+, which is not bad at all. I don’t normally buy the flavored kinds, but I must admit – it’s been so convenient to just grab a container and not have to get anything else to put in it!
One of the new-to-me flavors I got to try was the 2% Blood Orange.
It was DELICIOUS. I loved the tangy-sweet blood orange chunks at the bottom – it was the perfect balance! And the other new-to-me favorite flavors were 0% Pineapple and the 2% Mango – both so, so good.
What better way to start the day after a long weekend than with a giveaway!?
One lucky reader will win your own customized case of Chobani, based on your personal preferences!
To enter, leave a comment on this post telling me your favorite way to eat greek yogurt!
Contest ends at 12am EST on Thursday, May 31st. I’ll announce the winner on Friday morning. Good luck!!

May 29, 2012 at 9:36 am (357 days ago)My favorite way to eat Chobani, is take the plain, add chopped cucumbers and a bit of smashed garlic, and a little salt, stir to combine. I use my fresh “tzatziki” sauce on hamburgers, meatloaf, ritz crackers – the roasted vegetable ones. It is much lower than sour cream, and is refreshing. Although I am lactose intolerant, most of the whey is removed by the draining process where the lactose resides. I love CHOBANI!

May 29, 2012 at 9:57 am (357 days ago)I love Chobani! I eat it almost everyday too. I have lots of favorite ways to eat it. I usually get the 2% plain and add some maple syrup and fruit. If it’s breakfast, sometimes I add some puffed rice cereal to that. This weekend, I discovered a new flavor combo. I added a cut up cara cara orange and some shredded coconut. Tropical goodness.
And when I want savory, I add salsa to the plain and eat it with tortilla chips or baby carrots.

May 29, 2012 at 10:21 am (357 days ago)I am a HUGE Chobani fan and love their Pineapple, Peach and Apple Cinnamon flavors. Chobani is flavorful and provides a protein punch on it’s own that I often don’t need to add anything. If I do, it’s usually adding Kashi Cinnamon cereal to the apple which makes it seem like I’m eating apple crisp!

May 29, 2012 at 10:51 am (357 days ago)My favorite Chobani recipe is vanilla chobani with a tablespoon of regular or chocolate PB2. Mix it really well and it comes out like a peanut butter mouse. It is so filling and delicious and only 4 ww points! Great for a protein packed mid day snack or desert! You can also use regular PB but your points go up dramatically. I have also used this and added chocolate shakeology and filled a low fat graham cracker crust. Chill in fridge overnight and you have a healthy pie treat! Great for parties!!

May 29, 2012 at 5:23 pm (357 days ago)That blood orange yogurt sounds delicious!
I always have a ton of different jams in my fridge, so I just get the plain yogurt and stir in whichever flavor of jam I feel like. If I’m craving a more dessert-like feel, I take inspiration from those frozen yogurt shops and top my yogurt with granola, fruit (usually blueberries and strawberries and kiwi), and sliced almonds — really delicious.

May 30, 2012 at 9:31 am (356 days ago)I love, LOVE Chobani! I have it as a snack most days, either the blueberry, vanilla, pomegranate, or blood orange flavors..mmmm…any flavor! Its also a great sub for sour cream and mayo (and personally I think it tastes better) But in the summer, plain 0% is my go-to breakfast. Usually I have oatmeal for breakfast but most days it is just too hot! Now that its getting steamy, I’ll have a half cup of 0% Chobani plain mixed with any fruit (preferably a banana or blueberries), a tsp of honey drizzled over top, and if I’m feeling adventurous I’ll add some light cereal on top for crunch, most likely a cereal from Trader Joe’s. Yum!!
Laura

May 30, 2012 at 1:41 pm (356 days ago)Greek Yogurt is a staple in our house. I am in the final stages of losing 111 pounds, my husband lost 55 and has maintained it for 2 years now… we have a 6 & 8 year old we are trying to teach to live healthy AND we care for my diabetic mother who lives with us! Greek Yogurt is the PERFECT snack for all of us… especially my diabetic mother… She has at least one each day. It is a perfect balance of carbs & protein for a bedtime snack! It helps keep her blood sugars stable overnight. We even just had my father live with us for 3 weeks following surgery… HE’s hooked on Greek yogurt too now! Chobani is hands down our favorite! We’d LOVE to have a custom case! That would be awesome!

May 30, 2012 at 10:01 pm (356 days ago)I love greek yogurt, and my night is not complete without it! When I started my weight loss journey more than 2 years ago, my “coach” introduced me to greek yogurt and berries as my nightly snack, as opposed to a sugar loaded 100 calorie ice cream treat. Yes, my new nightly snack has more calories, but also a lot more nutrients too!

May 31, 2012 at 9:18 am (355 days ago)I love chobani greek yogurt, my fav flavors are raspberry, pineapple, and passion fruit although I do enjoy them all. Lately though I have been eating a lot of the plain and drizzling on honey (from my parent’s hive in good old southbury- I hear it is good for you to eat local honey…and delicious), I don’t even mix it in just drizzle it on-gives a great sweet and sour taste, yummy.
